High School Workshops

We have a range of interactive 60 minute workshops for students in years 9-12, designed to give them a hands-on taster of some of the core skills used in the interactive media and creative technology fields.

2D Animation

Students will learn the basic principles of 2D animation and get hands on to create a short animation in the form of a GIF using Brush Ninja/Pencil2D.

Computers/internet access required.

3D Animation

Students will learn the basic principles of 3D animation, understand the building blocks of this artform and get hands on to create their own simple 3D animation using Blender.

Computers required.

Film

Students will learn about the importance of visual effects to filmmaking and get hands on to add VFX to raw footage using Blender.

Computers required.

Game Design (GDevelop)

Students will learn the basics of game design and get hands on to create a simple video game using GDevelop.

Computers/internet access required.

About Our Workshops

  • Workshops are free of charge for schools and are designed to run for one hour.
  • Catered towards students in Years 9-12.
  • Beginner friendly. 
  • If you are located in a metropolitan school, a representative from AIT will come to you, so no travel is required.
